HOOGWOUD – On Wednesday, May 8 at 1 p.m., the long-awaited section between Verlaat and the ovonde at Langerijs will be reopened. That’s earlier than planned.

This means that road users can drive ‘normally’ on that part of the AC de Graafweg again. The associated cycle path along this route is also accessible again. The province of North Holland reported this on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier than planned

The province reports that this is due to the efforts of the employees of Boskalis, PWN and the province of North Holland. And that despite the challenges of the bad weather earlier this year, all efforts have ensured that this reopening can take place ahead of schedule.

The 9th of May

The final phase of the redevelopment of the AC de Graafweg will start on May 9, 2024. This phase will last until the end of 2024. The section between the Wognum roundabout and Heerenweide will be closed from Thursday, May 9, 7:00 PM to Monday, May 13. We are creating a temporary lane between the Tramweg roundabout and the Wognum roundabout and we are redesigning the old S-bend. During the closure, we will immediately tackle 2 major water connections and remove an old water culvert. See also our previous message for the diversions.
