The range of the new Lancia Ypsilon has three equipment levels: Ypsilon, Ypsilon LX and Edizione Limitata Cassina. A total of 1,906 numbered and certified copies of the special, limited Ypsilon Edizione Limitata Cassina are available (Hybrid and Electric together). This version will later be replaced by the Edizione Cassina as the most luxurious version in the range.
The Ypsilon has standard equipment including a multifunctional steering wheel, electrically adjustable and heated exterior mirrors, automatic air conditioning and Keyless Start. In addition, every Ypsilon is also equipped as standard with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Customers can also count on an extensive range of driver assistance systems. Standard equipment includes Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Alert, Adaptive Cruise Control, traffic sign recognition, Forward Collision Warning, rear parking sensors and Intelligent Speed Assist.
The equipment of the Ypsilon LX offers, in addition to the standard equipment, such as mood lighting in the interior, an automatically dimming interior mirror, electrically folding exterior mirrors, 17-inch alloy wheels, dark tinted rear windows, two rear USB-C connections and an induction charger for smartphones. From the LX version, the Ypsilon is also equipped with SALASALA, which stands for ‘Sound Air Light Augmentation’, an infotainment system that brings together the functions for audio, climate control and lighting. Thanks to S.ALA, driver and passengers can also adjust the interior atmosphere at the touch of a button.
Lancia and Cassina
The special Lancia Ypsilon EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA is characterized by the seat upholstery in soft, blue velvet and 100% recycled fabric with ‘Cannelloni structure’ and double stitching. The same blue is also reflected in the accents on the door panels, the dashboard and the exterior. Also striking is the multifunctional ‘tavolino’ from Cassina. This is a new design element made of bio-plastic and covered with saddle leather.
The standard equipment of the Ypsilon EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA includes an electrically adjustable driver’s seat including massage function, heated front seats, distinctive 17-inch ‘Dark’ alloy wheels and a special numbered coffee table. In addition, the technological character of EDIZIONE LIMITATA CASSINA is further expressed in the autonomous driving function at level 2. This makes driving in busy traffic safer, easier and more relaxing. Thanks to Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering, for example, the speed and position of the car on the road are automatically adjusted based on the road and traffic situation.
Hybrid or electric
The new Ypsilon Electric is the brand’s first 100% electric model. The drivetrain consists of a 115 kW (156 hp) electric motor that is powered by a 51 kWh battery. Partly thanks to the efficient drivetrain with limited energy consumption, the YpsilonElectric offers a range of up to 402 kilometers (WLTP, combined cycle). The battery is also suitable for DC fast charging, which allows it to be charged from 20% to 80% in 24 minutes under ideal conditions. That is equivalent to 100 kilometers of range for every 10 minutes of fast charging. Customers of the new Lancia Ypsilon also receive support from Free2move Charge.
The Ypsilon is also available with a 1.2 Turbo (mild) Hybrid powertrain, consisting of an efficient three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with a power of 74 kW (100 hp) in combination with 48V hybrid technology. A six-speed e-DCT automatic transmission is standard. This engine variant can operate completely electrically at very low speeds, for example during parking and maneuvering. CO2 emissions are 103-104 g/km (WLTP). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes 9.3 seconds and the top speed is 190 km/h.
