Dutch price of the new Volkswagen Golf (8.5) (2024)

--

The Volkswagen Golf with a combustion engine is on its farewell tour. Once again, VW factory employees are allowed to install spark plugs, exhausts and fuel tanks before the Golf becomes fully electric. The last generation with a combustion engine, which enthusiasts call the 8.5 generation, now also has a Dutch price.

If you occasionally visit these types of websites, you know that the new VW Golf not only looks a bit different, but has also received some adjustments on the inside. There is now ChatGPT integration and there is a 12.9-inch center screen, but fortunately there are also (more) physical buttons. There are also some changes in terms of motorization. The hybrid GTE and eHybrid have a new powertrain that provides 100 kilometers of pure electric driving range.

The Dutch price of the new Volkswagen Golf

The entry price of the facelifted Golf is lower than that of its predecessor. The entry-level now costs minimal 34,990 euros. You then get the four-cylinder turbo engine with 116 hp. With the pre-facelift, this version cost exactly 1,000 euros more. The more nicely designed Life Edition goes for at least 36,990 euros. Before the facelift, this version cost 36,920 euros, so it is almost the same. If you want it with 150 hp, you pay 41,490 euros.

The Golf eHybrid and GTE have a new powertrain that produces 204 hp and 272 hp respectively. The eHybrid is currently only available as the ’50 Edition’, complete with extras such as Edition 50 logos and an illuminated VW logo on the front. This car costs at least 44,490 euros. You can only order the normal eHybrid sometime in June. The stronger GTE goes for at least 49,990 euros. The GTE before the facelift was a bit cheaper with a starting price of 49,240 euros.

The Dutch prices of the Volkswagen Golf R, GTI and Variant versions will follow later. VW also announces that there will be another R-line, but we don’t know when yet. You should be able to order the Golf 8.5 in the Netherlands sometime in July. The faster GTI and R models will only arrive after the summer.
