Two days of book market, live music and cocktails. If that sounds like music to your ears, you should be at the Ajuinlei next weekend. The various shops, bars and restaurants join forces and organize a big party.
The various businesses of the Ajuinlei organize an SSpring Fest to celebrate that the cold, dark winter months are behind us. “We are going to celebrate that the sun is shining, even if it only shows itself to a limited extent,” says Peter Connelly from bar Elmo enthusiastically.
On the programme: two days of book market, three days of live music from street musicians, cocktails, fresh beers and ‘The Beatles’. “We wanted to keep it very simple. No big stages or loud music boxes,” says Connelly. “Just a little event to celebrate spring and hopefully bring some attention to this beautiful neighborhood.”
The book market takes place on Saturday and Sunday, each time from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Various businesses will also do something special. “We will probably show up with fresh beers from Dok Brewing Company,” says Connelly. “We are big fans of them. We just want to celebrate and if there is no sun, we do our best to make our own.”
