Alfa Romeo starts delivering the 100% electric model variant. This uses a 54 kWh battery. In this version, the lithium-ion battery pack provides 115 kW (156 hp) and 260 Nm of torque and a theoretical range of 400 kilometers (WLTP pre-homologation figures). The Junior ELETTRICA is equipped with a 3-phase on-board charger of 11 kW. Charging from 20 to 80% can be done in 27 minutes at 100 kW DC fast charging stations under ideal conditions. At an 11 kW charging station (3-phase), a 0-100% charging session takes 5 hours and 45 minutes under ideal conditions. The Alfa Romeo Junior ELETTRICA has a top speed of 150 km/h and reaches a speed of 100 km/h from a standstill in 9 seconds.
The recommended retail price of the Alfa Romeo Junior ELETTRICA starts at € 39,000 (including tax and road preparation costs). To introduce this new compact model from Alfa Romeo, there will also be an introductory version: the Junior ELETTRICA SPECIALE. That version is available from €41,000. Both model versions are eligible for a €2,950 SEPP subsidy in 2024. The starting price of the Junior ELETTRICA therefore drops to € 36,050.
Every Junior ELETTRICA has Icona fabric interior upholstery with blue accents, automatic air conditioning, rain sensor, keyless start, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an infotainment system with 10.1-inch display. Furthermore, the standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy Aero wheels, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, LED lighting, adaptive cruise control, rear parking sensors and a collision prevention system with pedestrian and cyclist recognition.
Alfa Romeo Junior SPECIAL
The introductory version Junior SPECIALE has the Progresso logo, matte trim elements, 18-inch Petali alloy wheels, Spiga interior trim with vinyl and fabric upholstery, a leather-trimmed steering wheel and electrically operated driver’s seat with massage function. The SPECIALE also offers interior lighting with a choice of eight colors, which gracefully illuminates the air vents, the center console and the iconic instruments.
The equipment is completed by extensive safety equipment. The Alfa Romeo Junior SPECIALE offers Level 2 autonomous driving, connected navigation, a 180-degree reversing camera, a hands-free electrically operated tailgate and Keyless Entry with proximity access technology as standard.
Junior ELETTRICA VELOCE
The Junior ELETTRICA VELOCE has very direct steering, unique 20-inch wheels, a limited slip differential, a stabilizer bar front and rear, extra wide track, sporty suspension lowered by 25 mm and an extra powerful braking system. The electric motor in the VELOCE version has a power of 175 kW (240 hp) with 345 Nm of torque, good for a top speed of 200 km/h and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 6 seconds. The recommended retail price of the Junior ELETTRICA VELOCE is €48,000.
Alfa Romeo Junior IBRIDA
Alfa Romeo will later expand the range with a 48V hybrid variant: the Junior IBRIDA. This motorization is expected to be available to order from the third quarter of 2024. The Junior IBRIDA has a 100 kW (136 hp) 48V hybrid powertrain consisting of a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo petrol engine with variable geometry, a 48V lithium-ion battery and a 21 kW electric motor, built into the six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Alfa Romeo Junior IBRIDA offers two drive options: front-wheel drive and Q4 all-wheel drive.
