This is the live topic for the Eredivisie match between FC Twente and Almere City. The match between numbers three and twelve will kick off at 6.45 pm in De Grolsch Veste stadium. Both clubs don’t seem to have much left to play for. The Tukkers seem certain of third place and Almere City most likely no longer has to fear the play-offs.

The last match FC Twente played was against Ajax. The team from Enschede took a 0-1 lead in the Johan Cruijff ArenA, but gave it away in the second half and Ajax managed to win 2-1. After the winter break, the team from Enschede only managed to win eight of the fourteen matches, yet they are firmly in third place. The gap between FC Twente and AZ, number four in the competition, is currently five points. In the event of a victory Tukkers Third place and therefore the Champions League preliminary round seems like a formality.

Almere City is slowly collecting points and seems to have found itself in a safe haven. Almere City drew no less than six of the last seven Eredivisie matches. The last victory dates back to February 17, when they visited PEC Zwolle. Both teams therefore seem to go into the match without too much tension.
