‘Liverpool moves on and fully aims for success coach’

--

Earlier today you could read that Ruben Amorim, the manager of Sporting CP, is a major candidate to succeed Klopp as manager at Liverpool. Now, however, a completely different name has emerged, also a coach with a real success story.

Prize winner with empty energy tank

Klopp joined Liverpool in 2015 and his passage turned out to be a great success story. The German won the English national title, the Champions League and the World Club Championship, among others.

In January, the surprising news came that the club and the manager were parting ways after this season. “Coaching Liverpool is a fairytale. One in which you give everything: 100,000 percent. And now I feel my energy tank is emptying.” That’s what it sounded like in various newspapers.

Title as the icing on a very tasty cake?

In his last season with The Reds, Klopp hoped for various successes, but Liverpool seems to be missing out on all the prizes. In the Europa League they were mercilessly eliminated by Charles De Ketelaere’s Atalanta, what remains is a nail-biter in the Premier League.

But here too, Liverpool is only virtually third (City has one match less) and must mainly count on missteps in the competition. Since the manager position became vacant at Liverpool there have been numerous rumours, one of which is now emerging more and more.

“He is the frontrunner”

The Guardian reported today that Feyenoord coach Arne Slot is the “frontrunner for the position” and also the NOS now took over the message. The Dutchman achieved numerous successes with Feyenoord, including reaching the Conference League final and the title with the Rotterdam club. Last weekend, Boskamp’s favorite club also won the cup in their own country.

Slot still has a current contract until 2026, without a termination clause NOS. “If a nice club comes along, I will talk,” Slot said last week. Meanwhile, various media know that a minimum of 10 million euros must be paid for the Dutchman.
