China has built a replica of Taipei’s presidential district in Mongolia’s remote interior. This is evident from satellite images. The discovery reinforces suspicions that China is preparing to invade Taiwan, France24 reports.

Construction of the replica began in March 2021 and took about a year. Taiwanese data analyst Joseph Wen first shared the evidence last week https://twitter.com/sfx_ewss/status/1772350091635900480. The streets run just like the government center in Taipei. The Bo’ai District is home to Taiwan’s Presidential Palace, Supreme Court, Central Bank and Ministry of Justice, among others.

In 2014, satellite images revealed that China had recreated Taiwan’s presidential office in Mongolia. At the time, China itself also distributed images showing how soldiers invaded the building.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has increased pressure on Taiwan in recent years. China considers the country a renegade province.
