The A73 was closed in both directions at the Venray-Noord exit on Monday after an accident.
The accident happened on Monday afternoon around 6 p.m. on the southbound carriageway to Venlo. According to the ANWB, seven cars were involved. One of them hit the center guardrail. The devastation was great. Debris was scattered across the highway.
At least two people involved were injured, one of whom was taken to hospital by ambulance. Many emergency services were on site.
Traffic in the direction of Venlo was diverted via the Venray-Noord exit. A diversion was also indicated for traffic in the other direction, to Nijmegen. During the evening, one lane was established in both directions, pending full opening.
