Assassin’s Creed: Origins came out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but you can also play the game on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It just doesn’t improve performance. However, Ubisoft has hinted that they might come up with a 60fps patch for current-gen consoles, but it looks like we’ll have to wait longer than we thought.

PlayStation Game Size had noted last week that a new update for Assassin’s Creed: Origins was out and that it was the aforementioned 60fps patch. That update was expected to be activated this week. Only that hasn’t happened yet.

The update will probably not appear this week, but only on June 7. This is because the game will then be made available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers. This seems to be a good date to roll out the patch for all current-gen consoles.

Also, June 7 falls on a Tuesday, which is nine times out of ten when Ubisoft updates its games with new patches and weekly challenges.
