Another rumor today, but this time one that doesn’t make you very happy. It seems that things are quite a mess behind the scenes of the development of the Perfect Dark reboot.
Jeff Grubb is quite busy spreading rumors. Earlier today we posted an article online in which he claimed that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf should be released this fiscal year, but now he has a rumor that is less fun if it is true.
According to Grubb, he has heard that since the announcement of Perfect Dark, approximately 4 years ago, little significant progress has been made with the game.
Following Grubb, there are also others who open their mouths with similar statements. Alex Donaldson from VG247 wrote:
The sounds are quite at odds with what Crystal Dynamics CEO Phil Rogers said last year when it was announced that his studio would assist in the development. At the time, he claimed that the development of the game was going extremely well.
According to Jeff Grubb, this is anything but the case. They’re not even on the same page regarding the direction the game should go and whether or not they should stick with the first person perspective. Otherwise it doesn’t seem unimportant to know.
Perfect Dark was already announced in 2020 by the brand new studio The Initiative, but it looks like we can wait a while for this title. Hope it turns out fine.
