Actor Steven Ogg, who played Trevor in Grand Theft Auto 5, has confirmed that narrative downloadable content for the game was once in development.

Last year, possible information was found via a datamine about an expansion around ‘Agent Trevor’ – it would be one of three planned expansions, with DLC around an alien invasion and a zombie apocalypse also planned.

In a recent stream (via The Loadout), Ogg has now confirmed that DLC was indeed in the works. “Trevor was going to go undercover, he was working with the FBI. We shot some stuff around ‘James Bond Trevor’, where he was still kind of a freeloader, but he was doing his best. But then it just disappeared and (Rockstar ) never did anything with it.”

The exact reason for this is unknown, but datamines show that some planned content for the single-player mode was eventually brought to the popular Grand Theft Auto Online – GTA 5’s online mode.

Rockstar Games has been working on Grand Theft Auto 6 for some time now, which should be released in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. Watch the reveal trailer here.
