A few days after his transfer to Milan, tonight’s city derby against Inter may come a little too early for Aster Vranckx. On the day of the Derby della Madonnina, the 19-year-old midfielder spoke for the first time as a player for the Rossoneri.
“This is a big step in my career and I will give everything for this club,” he says in a video that Milan shared on social media. “In life you should always want to move forward, chase your dreams and never give up.”
“I am a midfielder who likes to run a lot, is strong and I have two good feet,” Vranckx introduces himself to the Milan fans. The young Belgian will meet 3 compatriots with Alexis Saelemaekers, Divock Origi and Charles De Ketelaere.
“It’s nice that there are other Belgian players here. I know Alexis and Divock a bit, but not as well as Charles. He told me that Milan is an excellent club and that the squad is of a high level. immediately welcome.”
“For me, Milan is Ronaldinho and Kaka. They were fantastic players. Serie A is very tactical and there is a lot of quality around. That excites me even more.”
Vranckx also opted for jersey number 40 in Milan. “That’s the jersey number I started my career with and I love it. I’ve had good years with this number and I’m glad I can stick with it.”
