Rumors have been circulating for some time that Mark van Bommel will leave Antwerp at the end of the season. In that regard, the Dutchman was linked to AC Milan, but that does not seem to happen.
Milan are currently in talks with Julen Lopetegui. The Italian top club sees him as the ideal candidate to succeed Stefano Pioli after this season. It looks like Pioli will leave within a few weeks.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between Milan and Lopetegui are already at an advanced stage. Although West Ham United also showed interest, Lopetegui prefers Milan.

This makes it appear that Mark van Bommel will not become Milan’s coach. The coach of Royal Antwerp FC was recently linked to Milan by Tuttosport, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly committed to him.
