FC Utrecht announced an incoming transfer today. The Dutch sub-topper officially announced the arrival of a Belgian defender. The former AA Gent player comes over from Excelsior Rotterdam.

Horemans to FC Utrecht

“Siebe Horemans (25) will transfer from Excelsior on a free transfer after the current season. The Belgian youth international has signed a three-year contract in Utrecht, which means he is affiliated with the Domstedelingen until mid-2027,” Utrecht said.

“With Siebe we are bringing in a right back who exudes calm and has a good passing ability,” says Technical Director Jordy Zuidam. “At Excelsior he has shown that he has added value both defensively and offensively. We are happy that Siebe has chosen us. and look forward to a good collaboration.”

Ex-AA Ghent

Horemans is no stranger to AA Gent fans. He went through the youth department there and Horemans played 3 matches for the Buffalos. He was loaned to Excelsior Rotterdam and that club subsequently took him over permanently. Horemans has played 188 matches for the club to date, scoring 11 times and providing 20 assists.
