It has become a bit of an enigma at Club Brugge: Andreas Skov Olsen’s performance curve. The Dane is undeniably a fantastic footballer, but he cannot put regularity into his performances.

For Club Brugge icon Paul Okon it is clear who is the most talented. Not Antonio Nusa, but Skov Olsen. “It often became clear during training that he is too good for Club,” he says The newspapaer.

During those training sessions it also became clear why he could not yet achieve a top transfer. “Absolutely,” said Okon. “Skov Olsen has the qualities to aim higher – I’m not surprised that big clubs have him on their radar.”

“On the other hand, he wastes his talent a bit because he does not put consistency in his game, is often injured,… I have never talked to him about that. He is not an open book.”

Skov Olsen turns out not to be the easiest either. During the last European move to PAOK, he even took a plane because he was on a collision course with the medical staff of Blue-Black and wanted to have a Danish doctor look at his injury.

Nicky Hayen could not count on him for the past four matches due to a hip injury and he will not be present in Genk either. But in the meantime, Michal Skoras seems to be doing extremely well in his position.
