The Tour of Flanders is on the program next Sunday. For Roger De Vlaeminck, Mathieu van der Poel is the big favorite.

Roger De Vlaeminck saw how Mathieu van der Poel used his powers in Ghent-Wevelgem. But according to the winner of the 1977 Tour of Flanders, this was in function of the Tour of Flanders.

“He wanted to win Gent-Wevelgem, but he did not specifically drive to win. He tired himself on every mountain and Mads Pedersen is not a bad driver either,” he says. Cycling revue.

According to De Vlaeminck, Van der Poel will not get tired in the Tour of Flanders and he is therefore the top favorite for him. “Without setbacks, Van der Poel will win for a third time.”

De Vlaeminck does not believe in Van Aert

De Vlaeminck does not believe in Wout van Aert. Especially because Van Aert was no longer able to close a ten-second gap on Van der Poel in the E3 Saxo Classic.

“Wout van Aert is not making any progress at the moment. In a race of 200 kilometers he is 10 seconds behind Van der Poel and he cannot drive towards it! Van der Poel was not driving at full speed at that moment either…”
