Women with ovarian cancer will soon be able to live longer, thanks to research into a new drug led by Prof. Dr. Toon Van Gorp at UZ Leuven. “Ovarian cancer is a very fatal disease,” says the doctor. At the same time, it is the second most common gynecological cancer in our country. Van Gorp explains the factors that increase your risk: “Your risk increases sharply from menopause in any case.”
