The Starliner space capsule of the American aerospace company Boeing will depart for the International Space Station (ISS) on Friday, May 17 at the earliest. The flight was postponed early Tuesday morning, less than two hours before the scheduled launch, due to a technical problem. An anomaly was discovered in the valve of the Atlas V rocket, which would carry the capsule into orbit around Earth.
The Starliner would take two American astronauts from Cape Canaveral, Florida, to the International Space Station.
Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams were already in the craft when the launch was canceled at the last minute. They had to disembark and return to the crew quarters at Kennedy Space Center.
