The gang, which consists of young people with a migrant background, commits offenses at schools, in parks and near the station. “It concerns a group of 23 children and young people between 9 and 17 years old,” police spokesperson Thorsten Ohm told ‘Bild’.

The young people allegedly harass and threaten students. But the list of violations is much longer: fighting, stalking, blackmail with film images, humiliation, damage to property, disorderly conduct and trespassing. The gang is also said to be involved in drug trafficking.

Antonia H. works in a bakery in the city center. She has seen the gang several times, she tells ‘Bild’. “They called one of our older customers a ‘Nazi pig.’ They spat around and tipped over garbage cans.”

The son (13) of paramedic Mike Jugel was attacked several times by the gang. “One time they surrounded my son. They forced him to kneel before the leader and apologize to him for no reason. He was filmed doing this. We filed a complaint and met with other parents of victims. It has to stop now,” Jugel stated.

The police were able to attribute 50 offenses to one twelve-year-old criminal alone. “The accusations in his case range from inflicting grievous bodily harm to insults and threats,” the police spokesperson said. “We will not tolerate this situation. Victims have contacted us and the investigation is ongoing.”
