The E313 from Hasselt towards Antwerp became completely blocked on Friday afternoon near Geel, due to a collision between a mobile home and a truck. It took hours before the highway was reopened. The Geel-Oost driveway will remain closed for a while for repairs. This is what the Flemish Traffic Center says. The damage is extensive and at least one injured person was taken to hospital.

On Friday afternoon, two occupants of a mobile home were seriously injured on the E313 near Geel-Oost. One of them is in mortal danger. Due to the accident, the highway towards Antwerp was closed for a while.
The E313 will be free again around 4 p.m., but the Traffic Center asks you to take long waiting times into account. The Geel-Oost driveway is still closed to traffic due to repair work. The problem has also been causing a lot of traffic jams in the area locally for a whole day.
Also around 4 p.m., an accident occurred in the opposite direction near Geel-Oost, causing the left lane to be closed for a while. At 4:55 p.m. the entire roadway was free again.
