36 years after Jacqueline Gijbels (72) from Booischot was first told that she had cancer, the verdict was given in early January that she was terminal. Her very last wish: to see Clouseau play in real life one more time, because it was that group that had dragged her through the difficult moments all this time. On Tuesday her dream came true thanks to De Wishambulance: “When they came in, they spontaneously gave me a kiss. I was on cloud nine all evening.” Her daughter Katleen De Wit tells the story of an evening that will never be forgotten.
