The elections are fast approaching, so Play4 is coming up with two new programs. Gert Verhulst will soon present ‘Gert’s election table’, later a documentary series about the municipal elections in Ninove will follow.
On June 9, we are expected in the voting booths for the first time this year. That is why Gert Verhulst is expanding the regular broadcasts Gert’s table from Monday 27 May. Each time starts at 10 p.m. for two weeks Gert’s election tablein which he talks to a political leader.

Will be reviewed: Prime Minister Alexander De Croo (Open VLD), Petra De Sutter (Green), Sammy Mahdi (CD&V), Raoul Hedebouw (PVDA), Melissa Depraetere (Vooruit), Tom Van Grieken (Vlaams Belang) and Bart De Wever (N-VA). As is customary at his table, he is always assisted in these conversations by three table jumpers. The debates will conclude on Thursday, June 6. That evening, all table jumpers will gather at the table and they will be asked to show their colours.

A year in Ninove
In the meantime, Diederik Van den Abeele, the man behind it, is working Shalom everyone!, to an autumn offensive. In October 2023, exactly one year before the elections, he already started recording We are from Nienof! “Ninove will be the Flemish city that will be watched with suspicion during the municipal elections in 2024,” it says. “Not only in Belgium itself, the international press is also watching with great interest what is going to happen in Ninove. The big question is how the political cards will be shuffled there.”
Finally, the channel had news about an internal shift. After ten years, program director Annick Bongers says goodbye to Play4. She blew, among other things The mole new life and was at the time the basis of Gert late night. After the elections in June, she will take a break to think about her future within or outside Play Media.(dewo)
