A Boeing 737 had to make an emergency landing in South Africa on Sunday after one of the plane’s wheels came loose during takeoff. Dramatic video footage shows how smoke appears to billow from the broken landing gear as the full FlySafair flight rolls over the runway in Johannesburg.
Ultimately, no injuries were reported in the incident. After being evacuated, the passengers were able to board another flight to Cape Town, a few hours after their original departure time.
The incident can be added to the list that has put Boeing in dire straits, after a multitude of safety incidents with its aircraft.
