Nostalgia at its best: exactly 25 years after the legendary youth program Telekids disappeared from the air, Carlo Boszhard and Irene Moors are making a one-off comeback. They do this especially for the Foute Party of Qmusic. The duo will share highlights from the show including Tough times and Harry the stallion, relive it through a musical journey. “We sing one more time 3,2, 1 and then it is really done.”
Carlo and Irene announced the news on Thursday morning in the morning show of Mattie Valk and Marieke Elsinga. The two said that during the party they will perform a medley with all kinds of well-known Telekids songs such as Morning gymnastics, Tough times and Visit.
Although the presenters stated that they stopped at their ‘peak’ 25 years ago, they saw Qmusic’s Foute Party as ‘an excellent opportunity’ to reminisce with the audience once again. After that it really is a closed book, they told Mattie and Marieke. “Never again after that. This is a really big, fat, fat point.” Carlo added: “We’ll sing one more time 3,2,1 en then it is really done.”
This year, Qmusic’s Foute Party will take place on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June in the Brabanthallen. In addition to the performance of Carlo and Irene, other stars also make an appearance. Jan Smit, Snollebollekes, Ch!pz, Mental Theo, ABBA Fever and the Dragostea Din Teisingers O-zone op.
