Leandro Trossard has started the new season extremely strong. In the first six Premier League games, the Limburger has already scored twice and delivered as many assists.
However, not everything goes according to plan for the Red Devil. He has just had to say goodbye to his coach, Graham Potter. The ex-Brighton coach is going to work at Chelsea, where Thomas Tuchel was recently sacked.
According to British media, Chelsea will pay €25 million to Brighton as a transfer fee for the trainer. It is not yet clear who will succeed Potter at Brighton, although the appointment is probably not long in coming.
So Trossard, who is currently playing strongly, will have some important and exciting days ahead. We don’t expect him to drop out of the Brighton squad anytime soon, but you never know what ideas a new manager might bring.
The farewell to Potter will certainly come as a heavy blow to Trossard. The ex-trainer put a lot of confidence in the Red Devil and they had a strong bond. Hopefully for Trossard he can also build a relationship with his new coach.
