The Spanish police are said to have found no traces in the couple’s house in Callao Salvaje, nor in the house next door that they rented, that could indicate that a struggle or fight took place. That writes RTL Info. At first glance, nothing was stolen from the two homes.
Alarm system
The couple had an alarm system with image registration. The police would now investigate the images. It previously emerged that the alarm at the Belgians’ home had gone off on the day of their disappearance.
A surveillance camera at the villa opposite Trappeniers and Olbrechts’ house filmed a man who had entered the house at night. After a few minutes he left by car. The images are of poor quality: it would not even be possible to recognize the color and make of the car.
Badly damaged body
Laura Trappeniers and Marc Olbrechts from Flemish Brabant had lived in Tenerife for years. The Belgian couple was reported missing two weeks ago. The pair were last seen on April 22.
On April 27, Trappeniers’ badly mutilated body was found in the Atlantic Ocean, with a bag over his head. The autopsy shows that she certainly died as a result of violence.
Yesterday, friends of the Belgians also recovered the couple’s car, not far from where they lived. The car was allegedly unlocked and a knife, sunglasses and clothes were found in the vehicle. There is still no trace of Olbrechts for the time being.
