Companies that want to take steps in their digitalization journey can use the updated Digihub process for a free analysis of their project. The aim of this process is to offer expertise, guidance and financial support for in-depth problem analyzes surrounding digitalization. 50% of the costs of such an analysis are borne by the government thanks to Minister of Economy, Innovation, Work, Social Economy and Agriculture Jo Brouns and 50% by Voka-KvK Flemish Brabant.

With the support of VLAIO, Voka has been able to measure the digital maturity of around 2,000 companies. From the Voka QuickScan, carried out among companies in the region, Voka sees that the average maturity level of Flemish SMEs is 2.54 out of 5. So there is still room for growth in the digital field.

Voka’s digihub has already helped Kulapro carpentry in Wavre with their digitalization. “Digihub puts the knowledge of research centers within reach of SMEs. In our case specifically, it allowed us to reuse information from a software program live and synchronized in another program. It allows us to combine and implement the best of both worlds , which is important to enable future growth,” says Bertrand Schrevens, manager of Kulapro.

Digitizing for better business
Digihubs have already been established in 2021 as accessible spaces for experimenting. The experiences within this project show that the digitalization needs of companies are becoming increasingly complex. In a constantly changing digitalization ecosystem, it is crucial that companies are guided during their growth and transition phases.

“At Voka-KvK Vlaams-Brabant we are convinced that the right digitalization can lead to a wide range of benefits, including optimization of products and processes, efficiency improvements, increased customer satisfaction and improved quality, in short, a return on investment,” says Roel. Raymaekers, Manager Sustainable and Innovative Entrepreneurship.

To carry out the analyses, Voka-KvK Flemish Brabant collaborates with the Flemish Institute for Logistics (VIL), Leuven Security Excellence Consortium (L-SEC), VUB, Erasmushogeschool Brussel, Flanders Make, Sirris and UCLL University of Applied Sciences.
