Ilse van Dienderen draws the Green list for the provincial council elections in the Antwerp district. The party hopes for eight seats. Groen now has five provincial council members.

The Green members from the province of Antwerp established the final lists of candidates for the provincial council elections on October 13. The party is committed to a fair provincial tax that does not discriminate against single people, healthy and accessible recreational areas and smooth and safe cycling connections.

Van Dienderen (55), current provincial councilor and Antwerp municipal councilor, draws the list. Brend Van Ransbeeck (27) from Hoboken is in second place. He is the youngest provincial council member and works as a communications manager at mobility company Keolis. The top three is closed by newcomer Haike Van den Bergh (24) from Hemiksem, a civil engineer – architect student at Ghent University.

Abdeslam El Ghamri (53) from Boom is in fourth place. He is a member of the special committee for social services and is a social orientation teacher.

The list pusher is Ingrid Pira, former mayor of Mortsel and former Flemish Member of Parliament. (svw)
