In addition to the Friet Museum in Bruges, Brussels also makes a name for itself when it comes to Belgian chip folklore. The Micro Friet Museum Home Frit’ Home in Brussels-Vorst displays hundreds of historical objects from the collection of collector Henry Hugues on a compact surface.

Since the first weekend of this month, Hugues’ mecca reopened its doors. “More than 800 objects, documents and creations, as well as a micro cinema show how much we love our golden heritage,” says Home Frit’ Home. Frietologist Henry Hugues published a book about his private collection more than ten years ago. He has also linked an Airbnb-like facility to his small museum.

In an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws, the chipologist from the Brussels Micro Friet Museum says. “For me it is a real passion. That’s why I decided to exhibit this private collection of it to the general public. But people can also sleep here. A unique experience, because even the bathroom here is finished with the theme of the fries.” By the way, Home Frit’ Home has limited opening hours.
