Only female artists will honor Luc De Vos during a unique concert in Antwerp’s Lotto Arena | Music

Noelle Vanhelsuwé, Gorki’s manager, in consultation with relatives and friends of Luc, invited female artists to add “an extra dimension to the Vossian universe” after ten years. The enthusiasm was already great. “If I could ask him now: Vos, are we going to let only women sing? wa pissed? He would say: fantastic, do it!”, according to ‘Het Nieuwsblad’.

Apart from a funny twist in the heads of Vanhelsuwé and the relatives, there is no deeper meaning behind it. “I started listing artists and started with the women because I wanted to know how women would interpret Gorky’s songs and lyrics. Ladies first, so to speak. But the list of fantastic singers and front women was so long and the response so positive that we no longer needed men,” says Noelle.

In total, around twenty artists and groups will pay tribute to De Vos during a grand tribute concert in the Lotto Arena in Antwerp, a venue where Gorky himself has never performed.

‘VOS’ will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the Lotto Arena. The first artist names will be announced soon. Ticket sales start on Tuesday, April 30 via www.lotto-arena.be.
