The above images from New Jersey show how Corey Micciolo (6) is forced to walk on a treadmill by his father “because he is too fat”. The pace is too fast for the boy, who falls to the ground exhausted. But his father Christopher Gregor (31) won’t let him stop. He drags Corey straight by his clothes, puts him back on the treadmill and even appears to bite his son in the head.
Corey’s mother, who is separated from Christopher, notices multiple injuries on her son and takes him to the hospital. She also reports the injuries to a youth care worker, but this is not followed up. 12 days after the incident, Christopher takes Corey to the hospital. The boy woke up feeling nauseous and could no longer speak clearly. In the hospital he dies of a stroke as a result of the injuries.
The shocking incident dates back to 2021, but the images are now being released because the trial against Christopher Gregor has just started. The man is accused of child abuse and murder. He faces a life sentence.
