On August 19, 2023, Nestor K. entered the villa of the R. family on De Wandeleerlei in Brasschaat. The heavy boy from Ravels, member of the feared Dutch motorcycle gang Satudarah, came to collect a ‘debt’ that the son of the house allegedly owed in the Netherlands. The son of the victims is real estate entrepreneur Sebastiaan R., who lives in the principality of Monaco.

He does not dispute that Nestor K. (43) from Ravels was the man who was present in the villa in De Wandeleerlei in Brasschaat on August 19 last year. The versions of K. and the elderly residents differ about what happened inside.

Vulnerable people aged 74 and 80

“My clients are vulnerable people aged 74 and 80. They were robbed at home by K., when they opened the door he burst in and pushed Mr. R. to the ground. He also hit him and took out a firearm with a silencer,” said the victims’ lawyer, Master Sam Vlaminck, during the hearing of the case. “He forced them to open the safe and made off with, among other things, foreign currency and an IWC watch (luxury brand, ed.).”

Victims’ advocate

Vlaminck pointed out that K. had the foreign currency in his pocket when he was arrested barely two hours after the facts and that the watch and the weapon with a silencer were found in his home. “In his house there was a sports bag with colson straps, balaclavas and cuffs. He was well equipped,” said Vlaminck. “K. claims he didn’t use violence, but my client’s injuries have been documented. The defendant is a sturdy boy, a trained boxer, his mobile phone shows that he was part of the banned motorcycle club Satudarah.”

Everyone in the courtroom agreed on the context of the facts. The victims’ son had lost a legal dispute in the Netherlands and had to pay 12 million euros to another man. He had complained that the money was not coming and had ended up with K. through someone else. They took over the debt, they drew up a contract stating that if K. could collect, he could keep half of the 12 million euros. The fact that the original creditor did not appear in court is because the chamber ruled that he did not know how K. would collect his debt.

Fugitive

According to fugitive K., who made a statement during the investigation, there was no question of a home invasion. “It was difficult to reach the son of the civil party. He officially lives in Monaco, but is now in Dubai,” said Julie Goyvaerts, K’s lawyer. “My client has been in the house, but he says he did not use violence. He had a weapon with him because he knows the reputation of the family, which people have ties to Flor Bressers through a common contact. (main suspect in numerous drug files, ed.).”

Lawyer of K.

The public prosecutor’s office called Nestor K. a “self-proclaimed debt collection agent” with ties to motorcycle club Satudarah. The fact that the man had already been convicted in the past did not speak in his favor. The prosecutor demanded six years in prison. “He has an aggressive attitude and has not hesitated to rob the elderly and scare them.”

The court sentences Nestor K. to a prison term of six years. The fugitive extortionist must also pay compensation to the elderly victims. At the request of the Public Prosecution Service, the court ordered the immediate arrest of Nestor K.
