Little Shop of Hoarders celebrates Easter with an ‘in-store gig’ packed with ‘boop bap hip-hop’: “As befits New York tradition” (Antwerp)

Gadgets and record store Little Shop of Hoarders in the Lange Nieuwstraat celebrates Easter on Saturday, March 30, with an ‘in-store’ hip-hop party. What can you expect? Local up-and-coming talent and “great boop bap hip-hop as befits the New York tradition.”

At the top of the bill is Antwerp’s hip-hop talent Miserable Johnny. “With creativity and curiosity, he is not afraid to branch out into different subgenres of rap music,” says owner and organizer Dirk Megens. “His well-written lyrics and catchy flows are the perfect ingredients for a breath of fresh air through the local musical landscape.”

“Johnny shares the bill with the promising DJ Wolf B from Ghent,” Megens continues. “The 23-year-old hip-hop junkie has been collecting obscure underground rap since he was fifteen and started playing during corona. Expect a mix of nineties bangers, boop bap and jazzy flows records.”

The Easter party in Little Shop of Hoarders, the store specialized in selling ‘nice things you don’t really need’, starts at 4 p.m. “Bartender Joppe provides the drinks, Miserable Johnny plays at 6:30 p.m. It will be a lot of fun,” promises the Dutchman.
