Divock Origi’s name has not been around the Red Devils for years. The Belgian attacker is loaned to Nottingham Forest by AC Milan. They can pick up the Belgian attacker for a bargain.
Origi dirt cheap
La Gazetta dello Sport knows that Nottingham Forest has a purchase option to buy him for just 5 million euros. Yet they won’t do that. Origi, who has a net annual salary of 4 million euros, was not convincing at all.
The Belgian attacker has played 17 matches for the English low-flyer to date. In 624 minutes he scored just 1 goal and 1 assist. Origi must therefore return to AC Milan, where he no longer has a future. He is still under contract until mid-2026.
No future at AC Milan
The 28-year-old 32-time Red Devil continues to carry the label of ‘eternal promise’. Ten years ago he was one of the revelations at the World Cup, but afterwards he was never really able to make his mark at his clubs.
Origi played for Lille OSC, Liverpool, VfL Wolfsburg, AC Milan and Nottingham Forest. Will he take on a new challenge next summer? A return to Belgium is not an option, the striker’s wages may be far too high for that. He has already been firmly linked to teams from Major League Soccer.
