King Charles also expresses his support for the Princess of Wales. The British monarch is also currently being treated for the disease. The two royals are in regular contact after they both underwent surgery in the same week that revealed they were suffering from the disease. “The King is very proud of his beloved daughter-in-law and the courage she has to tell her story,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement. “Both the King and Queen will continue to offer their love and support to the entire family at this difficult time.”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also responded to the news. “We wish Kate and her family good health and a full recovery. We hope they can process this privately and peacefully,” the Duke and Duchess of Sussex wrote in a statement. James Middleton, the princess’s younger brother, also wishes Kate a speedy recovery. “Over the years we have climbed many mountains together. As a family we will also climb this together with you,” he writes with a photo from the old box.
