Josko Sostaric, healthcare reformer and architect of the human dimension, started his career after studying theology (cum laude) as co-founder of LEF! Daisy Veenstra, owner of Happydaisz and senior communications trainer at UMCG, exchanged her career in psychology for an unexpected turn in the music and video world. Her first rap on TikTok went viral and led to the founding of Happydaisz, a company that focuses on discussing important themes among young people through music, text and images. Daisy’s work includes reaching thousands of young people with positive messages and offering a listening ear to those struggling with mental health issues. Her most important message remains: love yourself, because that is the basis of everything. In addition to her own company, Daisy is active as a senior communication trainer at the UMCG, where she supervises foreign-speaking doctors in training in the workplace and coaches and trains new communication trainers.

Anne-Mei The

Anne-Mei The, initiator and owner of Tao of Care, is a leading professor of Long-term Care and Social Approach to Dementia at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam. As a cultural anthropologist, she focuses on poignant topics such as euthanasia, palliative care and dementia, which is often considered the epidemic of the 21st century. With her company Tao of Care, Anne-Mei has developed a new method, called the Social Approach to Dementia, which puts people with dementia back at the center and promotes human dignity. Her expertise, gained through years of research and conversations with stakeholders, has led to practical innovations that are now widely applied in dementia care, including as part of the ‘National Dementia Strategy 2021-2030’.
