IN PICTURE. Almost 110,000 euros for one outfit: Princess Charlene attracts all the attention in Monaco

During the annual Monaco E-Prix, Prince Albert’s wife (66) appeared in an outfit that cost almost 110,000 euros. Charlene was dressed in custom pieces from Louis Vuitton. Although it was mainly her watch that drove up the costs: an exclusive model from Richard Mille for which the princess paid around 100,000 euros.

Princess Charlene made her appearance last Saturday at the annual E-Prix, the race for electric cars that is organized in the principality a month before the famous Formula 1 GP. She came with her husband, Prince Albert, and their two children, Prince Jacques (9) and Princess Gabriella (9), to cheer on the speed devils on the circuit.

According to the specialized fashion press, the princess wore a custom-made black jacket from Louis Vuitton that costs around 3,992 euros. Charlene paired it with cargo pants from the same brand, priced at 2,437 euros. She finished it off with a pair of black pumps, which are also from Louis Vuitton and cost around 690 euros. However, the accessory on her wrist had the greatest value: a white ceramic Richard Mille watch, for which she reportedly paid around 100,000 euros. This rare model can even reach a retail price of up to 200,000 euros among watch enthusiasts.

All together, Charlene’s outfit was worth about 107,119 euros. A hefty amount, although Charlene has been known for a long time to spend a lot of money on her wardrobe. This is how fashion website ‘UFO No More’ calculates (UFO stands for Unidentified Fashion Object) every year how much the queens in Europe spend on their wardrobe. And Charlene has been at the top of that list for years: in 2023 she spent more than 371,821 euros on new clothing and accessories. On average, more than 155 new items are added every year.
