Jet van Nieuwkerk has had a sunny weekend. The culinary journalist (35) visited her father Matthijs in France and took her son Frenkie with her. ‘Bonjour!’, said Jet from Provence.
Jet – a big fan of posting so-called ‘stories’ on Instagram – takes her almost 100,000 followers on a short holiday to the sunny south. She enjoys an ice cream, takes toddler Frenkie to a thrift market and they are spectators at a local game of football. One of the photos also shows how grandfather Matthijs (63) takes his four-year-old grandson for a walk.
A moving scene, according to fans of the 24Kitchen presenter, since it became known at the beginning of last month that her father and RTL decided to postpone their collaboration. Now that after the publication of the Van Rijn report it is uncertain whether the presenter will ever return to TV, he is spending time in his beloved France. The Van Nieuwkerk family is known to have a warm heart for the country; Matthijs created the successful program together with good friend Rob Kemps in Paris Chansons!.
Kemps also saw Jet’s photos. ‘Merveilleux‘, he responds, which means ‘beautiful’.
Jet van Nieuwkerk lives with her boyfriend Ward in Amsterdam. Matthijs has been in a relationship with Martha for two years, but they live on their own. From his marriage to Karin, the television maker had two children, son Kees (36) and daughter Jet.
