Jens D. from Herent, who has been convicted several times for fraud and child abuse, among other things, risks a prison sentence of three years for a whole series of offences. This involves theft, fraud, misappropriation of assets and forgery.

Jens D. knows the road to the Leuven court like the back of his hand. He has had to appear several times for fraud and images of child abuse. The man from Herent even gained some fame as the Pamperbox scammer. In 2016, he defrauded hundreds of young parents with a pamper subscription. They would receive pampers in the mail every month at an affordable rate.

After a few months the parcels stopped arriving, but D. continued to collect the profits. During the investigation, investigators also found images of child abuse on his computer. During the investigation into the fraud case, he also broke a ban on contact with minors. The total prison sentences amounted to about 7.5 years behind bars, and then the man still had to appear in Turnhout.

In Bath

There he received another six years for the sexual assault and rape of a six-year-old girl. He started a relationship with a divorced woman, only to sexually assault her daughter in the bath. He always denied the facts, but the judge considered everything proven.

Back to Monday May 6. That lawsuit revolved around facts that took place between 2018 and 2020. The defendant concluded contracts in the name of his ex-partner, with whom he has two children. In this way he cheated her out of 72,500 euros. To extend access to the children, he forged a rental contract.

Crypto and luxury trips

He also put several colleagues in the bag. One he promised to invest his money in crypto, the other cheap luxury trips to Dubai and New York. He received the money, but nothing came of the promises.

The defendant stated that he had debts due to a gambling addiction and wanted to pay everything off. He therefore asked for a lenient sentence. “I paid alimony every month,” he said. “Most of my debts have already been paid off. I am busy with the rest.”

D.’s lawyer asks for the files to be absorbed and refers to the Pamperbox affair. However, the lawyer did not have the right papers for this. The case will therefore be continued on May 27.
