Kelsbekerhof, a restaurant and banquet hall in Nieuwerkerken, will close its doors at its current location in the summer of 2025. Chef Geert Boonen and room manager Anne subsequently want to switch to a culinary concept that is ‘smaller and more to the point’, they let their customers know.
Geert and Anne leave the Kelsbekerhof in Nieuwerkerken on July 1, 2025. However, the business is running very well. Both the restaurant and the banquet hall (up to 170 people) are fully booked. “We have always been ready for everyone here with heart and soul,” says chef Geert Boonen. “But times were sometimes tough to provide 100% service.”
Hence the decision to stop in the summer next year. “Until then, we will of course continue to serve our customers with the known quality and service,” said the chef. “Anyone who has booked a party with us can rest easy.
News that makes us happy on the one hand, but also sad, because we would like to let you know now that we have decided to stop ‘Kelsbekerhof in Nieuwerkerken’ on July 1, 2025. We are going to give it a serious overhaul in the coming year.”
He remains a bit vague about what will happen afterwards. “We will continue at a different location. In a different concept. Limited and more to the point. Small, but still fine culinary. Smaller parties will certainly still be possible. We will make more details in time and announced via our Facebook page” , concludes Geert Boonen.
