In the coming weeks and months, many teams from the Jupiler Pro League will have a new coach. This is also the case at KV Mechelen.

The musical chairs of trainers at Belgian clubs will continue towards next season. KV Mechelen will also have a new face at the helm for the next year in the Jupiler Pro League.

According to La Dernière Heure, Carl Hoefkens and Jonas De Roeck are the main contenders to become the new trainer at KV Mechelen. Hoefkens would be slightly ahead, if we can believe the Walloon newspaper.

Hoefkens has been without a job since December 31 of last year when he was fired from Standard. He was then pushed aside after a 3-0 defeat against… KV Mechelen. Hoefkens was already linked to Zamalek, but that job went to José Gomes.

Jonas De Roeck was also fired in December in the Jupiler Pro League, but then at Westerlo. He was promoted to the highest division with the club, but this season things were much less successful. Rik De Mil managed to retain the team with the Kemphanen, but was then fired after the salon draw against KRC Genk.
