We all know Goedele Wachters as someone who reads the news every day in a serious tone. However, in ‘Amai say wow’, we get to see a completely different side of her.
We find out that she laughs a lot, that she enjoys racing and that she has recently started playing the piano. She has only been doing the latter for about five months, but she loves it. With the help of an app, she sometimes spends hours a day on her new hobby.
Her progress is so impressive that she already dares to give her first performance in the program. Together with singer Lara Chedraoui she plays ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’. After a minute, however, she is surprised by the rest of the band and a string quartet: they take over from Goedele, who can then sit back and enjoy the music.
The viewers think it is a wonderful moment. “Goosebumps all the way to my toes! So, so beautiful!”, they respond. “Very beautiful, what a beautiful voice Lara has! Also the band, you are so good. Congratulations to Goedele.”
“Two fantastic women”, it also sounds. “Very moving.” “I never thought you would dare to do that, wow.” “What a magical version!” “Goedele is great!”
