Eves Laurent responds to Young Ellens in new track Kleine 2 Bars by Chivv: “Rappers are dusty”

Chivv has released the track ‘Kleine 2 bar’ together with Eves Laurent. On this track, Eves responds to Young Ellen’s anecdote from a writers’ camp in his verse. According to Ellens, Eves would have difficulty writing two bars on the song now known as ‘Sweety Darling.’ That was not appreciated by Eves Laurent, as his new track suggests.

A telephone conversation with Young Ellens was played in the Pass de Aux podcast. The artist talked on the phone about the making process of his hit Sweety Darling. “I was at a writers’ camp,” says Ellens. “Eves came over too, but I was in another room. When I was done I came to the other room, where Eves had been fighting with two bars for an hour.” Ellens then says that it didn’t take him long to get to the chorus of Sweety Darling. “In the end he (Eves Laurent) didn’t want to add anything to it,” the rapper ends.

This is not Eves Laurent left out in the cold. The rapper not only refers to Ellens’ story in the title of the new track, but also in the text: “I give you the facts. Can you believe it yourself that I do an hour for a small two bar that’s cap. Certain rappers are dusty now. They were poppin in the days of the dab,” Eves says in his verse.
