The emergency services received a report of a possible gas leak on the Mechelsesteenweg in Antwerp just before 10 p.m. Two homes have been evacuated as a precaution.

The incident happened between Aarschotstraat and Montebellostraat. There is a gas leak. Fluvius is on site to detect and repair the possible leak.

A tram cannot currently continue, because the emergency services are on site and the zone on the Mechelsesteenweg is closed.
