Idegem. Enora Van Grembergen from Idegem was a finalist for Top Model Belgium. On Saturday, April 6, she finished second in the final. ‘A boost,’ says Enora. Her second spot earned her a free photo shoot. The success inspired her to continue on her chosen path. She has now registered for the Miss Grace Benelux modeling competition.

At Miss Grace Benelux the focus is on ‘strong young women between the ages of 17 and 27’. ‘Benelux’ points out that the organization works with both Belgian and Dutch girls.

Campaign
With Miss Grace Benelux, the organizers look a lot further than external beauty: ‘No length too small, no size too big. We therefore choose not to do a bikini parade and we attach importance to charities. We go on an adventure together with our finalists to discover the best version of themselves.’

Last week the campaign was under the theme out of the world started with a press moment. The campaign ends on Saturday September 7 with the final in Diest. ‘We will have to parade there with a gala dress and clothing that we receive from the sponsors. We will also have to dance and there is also a question and answer session planned for an audience of 500 attendees. The winner is chosen by a professional jury.’

In the meantime, the audition – where Enora shone – is over. Together with 18 other models, she was selected from more than 300 candidates. Enora was given a contract that she had to sign. ‘It states, among other things, that I am not allowed to consume alcohol with my ribbon on social media. Smoking with my ribbon on is also not appreciated. I am also not allowed to take photo shoots with other photographers who are not affiliated with the organization…’

‘The campaign runs until September 7 and we have to commit ourselves to a good cause, attend events with our ribbon on and participate in various activities of Miss Grace Benelux, such as team building,’ says Enora. She must also commit to looking for sponsors. The organization I have chosen for my charity is The Spirit of handcycling Handbike Team West Flanders.

Ambitious
The more events I attend, the more points I earn. These points are important, among other things, to determine the winner. We also receive dance lessons, mental coaching, fashion shows, photo shoots… I receive good guidance from the organization. There is a very family atmosphere at Miss Grace Benelux, which is very nice.’

Enora is still attending school at the Royal Athenaeum of Geraardsbergen. She has to carefully plan the events and activities into her busy schedule. ‘There is a lot involved, but it is also very fascinating. I get to know a lot of people who might be important professionally later.’

Enora is ambitious. She wants to become a flight attendant. She would like to combine that with a career as a model. The young candidate from Idegem does everything she can to look top fit. In the meantime, the future model maintains her fitness by dancing every week with the Macota Majorettes from Idegem. ‘On Monday evenings I dance with my mom. On Wednesday afternoons I teach the little ones.’
