There have already been several house searches in Mar-a-Lago, but the one at the beginning of August received a lot of attention in the national and international press. More than 20 boxes of stuff belonging to the ex-president were then taken, including top secret-material. It gradually becomes clear what exactly has been found in Mar-a-Lago. The US Department of Justice has now released an inventory of the types of documents found.
The FBI has taken 33 boxes and containers of government documents, all of which were found in Trump’s personal office and storage areas in Mar-a-Lago. About 11,000 documents were not marked as secret. The Justice Inventory does not say which documents are involved, only the location where they were found.
But there were also secret and/or sensitive documents. 18 folders were labeled “top secret”, 54 “secret” and 31 “confidential”. In addition, there were also 90 empty folders, 71 of them in Trump’s office and 19 in a storage room. 48 empty folders bore the inscription“classified” (“classified” or “secret”), was on 42 empty folders “Return to Staff Secretary/Military Aid” to read. This concerns documents that must be returned to the presidential staff or military officials immediately after reading.
