Efteling gives Sleeping Beauty a makeover, but her breasts in particular surprise visitors

Visitors to the Dutch amusement park Efteling were amazed when they saw the renovated Doornroosje castle. Because it now appears that it was not only the building that was being renovated.

For 72 years, Sleeping Beauty has been waiting for her prince in the fairytale castle of Efteling. But in recent months she has had to do without visitors as her castle underwent major renovations. The castle was covered in scaffolding so that the walls could be renovated and the path to the castle was also renovated. Everything inside got a new coat of paint and the costumes were cleaned.

But it now appears that work has not only been done on her castle. Visitors to the park noticed that Sleeping Beauty itself also looks different. She has bigger breasts and longer hair. “We wanted to come closer to Anton Pieck’s original design. The curtain in the room where she sleeps has therefore also been moved slightly, so the scene looks more like the sketch he once made,” a spokesperson for Efteling tells Broadcasting Brabant. “In the old situation, some screws and bolts were visible in the construction of Sleeping Beauty. They are less noticeable now,” the spokesperson adds.

There is certainly a lot of laughter on social media about Sleeping Beauty’s makeover. For example, according to one person, ‘Sleeping Beauty’ will now be written with “double D”, while another suggests that she may be pregnant.
