Swiss police caught a Belgian (42) at Zurich airport who was trying to smuggle four kilograms of heroin. The drugs were hidden in the false bottom of his suitcase.

The Belgian currently lives in the South African city of Johannesburg. He was stopped on Sunday while on his way to the Polish city of Krakow.

Four kilograms of heroin has a street value of approximately 112,000 euros, according to De Druglijn.

Remarkable: a similar catch was made on Monday. This time it involved a 52-year-old Tanzanian who was on his way from Johannesburg to Krakow, also with a suitcase with a false bottom. It turned out that he contained four kilograms of cocaine, which has a street value twice as high as heroin.

On Sunday, a 30-year-old Brazilian woman was also stopped in Zurich with 430 grams of cocaine in her system. The drugs were hidden in fingerlings that she had swallowed. She was on her way from São Paulo to Tokyo. And an 18-year-old Israeli suspect from Tel Aviv had 44 kilograms of khat in two suitcases. These are leaves from an African shrub that have a stimulating effect when you chew them.
