The first week of the Easter holidays does not exactly look sunny. Today there will be some heavy showers across the country. We will also have changeable weather for the rest of the week, but from Friday weatherman David Dehenauw predicts “mild spring weather”. The RMI then predicts temperatures of more than 20 degrees.

It will be Tuesday variable to heavily cloudy and showers will move from west to east over the country during the day, which can become quite heavy locally. At the end of the afternoon the clear skies may temporarily become wider and it will also become drier. The maximum temperatures are between 8 degrees in the High Fens and 12 or 13 degrees in Flanders. The wind is blowing moderately to quite strong and shifting from southwest to west-southwest. The gusts can reach around 70 km/h, the RMI warns.
Tuesday evening it is temporarily dry with some broad spells. The sky soon closes from the southwest and periods of rain follow. The minimums are between 6 and 10 degrees with a moderate wind, which shrinks to south-southwest.
Wednesday starts heavily cloudy with rain in most areas. During the afternoon it will become partly cloudy with clear spells and showers. The maximum temperatures fluctuate between 8 and 10 degrees in the Ardennes and around 13 or 14 degrees in the other regions. The wind is initially moderate from the southwest, but becomes quite strong to sometimes strong near the sea.
Thursday is usually cloudy with frequent rain or showers. The maximum temperatures are between 10 degrees on the highest peaks and 15 degrees in the center of the country. The moderate southwest wind also becomes quite strong inland and sometimes strong near the sea.
After that the weather will be nicer Friday and Saturday in many places 20 degrees or more. Sunday temperatures will drop again to 15 or 16 degrees in the center.
